David Fernández is a Spanish hypnotist based in Tenerife in the Canary Islands. He works professionally with Spanish-speaking clients around the world, primarily through online sessions, using a direct and storyless approach to hypnotic change. Rather than asking clients to provide a detailed account of their personal history, he focuses on what they are feeling in the present moment and uses that emotional state as the starting point for therapeutic work.

David’s approach is centred on pretalk, expectation and the point at which a client becomes ready for change. He is currently developing and refining a structured method around this work, with particular attention to what he calls the “Emotional Bridge”: using a present feeling as the doorway into hypnotic work without requiring the person to retell or relive the original experience. He previously presented at Magic International Barcelona and continues to develop his work through extensive one-to-one practice.

At IHC27, David will present “Hypnosis Doesn’t Need Inductions: The Emotional Bridge Into Storyless Work”. He will challenge the assumption that every hypnotic intervention must begin with a formal induction and demonstrate how hypnosis can emerge through interaction, expectation and emotional engagement. His session will offer practitioners a practical sequence for recognising readiness, working content-free and guiding change while reducing the risk of unnecessary reactivation or overwhelm.
